Health and Fitness

I have so soon realized that this has almost turned into a health and fitness blog for Tyson and me.  It's like this new big thing happening in our lives right after the wedding.  Everyday I'm told by family, friends, and co-workers that it is so awesome that Tyson and I have found something that we can do TOGETHER, and I'd have to agree.  We motivate eacher other.  We hold each other accountable.  There are days I don't want to get into the gym, but I know Tyson is going and EXPECTING me to be there, so I go....And, it's vice versa for Tyson as well.  There are days that I just want to eat out or eat something off of our nutrition plans.....we hold each other accountable for that.  I'm glad we can create this new LIFESTYLE together.

Speaking of nutrition plans, I FINALLY got put on my very own besides doing half of Tyson's.  It's been interesting so far.  I will tell you that my body is having to adjust to the particular diet for me (LOTS of food, water, etc), but I'm determined to achieve the look I want.

I got my health report and was very happy to hear that my metabolism is on the "high side of high." <----- Words right out of our nutritionists mouth.  I burn 1,855 calories AT REST (HALLELUJAH!) and my metabolism is about 50% higher than the average person, so I'd say I'm starting off on the right foot.  I was quite shocked because I thought Tyson's would be higher than mine, but turns out, I whooped his butt on the metabolism "high-ness."  Now, this just leaves me wondering why the fat wants to stay glued to my behind...  *SIGHHH*

I can't wait to see more changes.  I have this goal, and I don't know where it's going to take me, but I hope good things come out of this.  I found this girl's blog on Pinterest (http://muffintop-less.tumblr.com/), and it is interesting.  At the top of the blog she states:

I sat up out of bed one morning, the rolls of my beer gut smushing together. With my head pounding against my skull and my skin tingling from dehydration, I realized.. I can't do this anymore. So I decided to ditch the booze and the crazy, college, party-girl lifestyle and get fit!... and I haven't looked back since! I'm new to this whole "blog" thing, so bear with me! But I hope to use my journey and my knowledge to educate and motivate all you girls out there who are looking to do the same! Feel free to ask me anything!

This spoke to me because, for me, it hit me like it hit her but mine was more from eating like crap, not exercising, that leftover college drinking binge gut, and just not giving a care for my health.  It hit me one day when I looked at my engagement photos (like I've mentioned in a previous blog post).  I look at her blog and get reminded that it is VERY possible.  It just takes work.

Overall, Tyson's looking great.  Gaining weight (good, muscle weight that is!)  I wish he didn't feel so silly of me taking results pictures of him.  We need a good picture to show a before and after.  Otherwise, Tyson keeps growing and will continue to grow.  I'm so excited to see what fitness possibilities are in store for him.  I'm just so excited for the fitness possibilities in store for US! :)
