Speaking of continuing to work hard, Tyson has officially gone back to school. I can't remember if I wrote about this in my last posts, but he has done it. He wants to go back and finish his degree so that he can go federal one day. When Tyson first graduated high school and left for college, he really didn't enjoy going to school. He was just finished with it all. He felt he wasn't in the right mindset at the time to get through school, and all he really wanted to do was get out on the streets and be a cop. It was even more tempting because he knew that you didn't have to have a degree to be one. Throughout the last 5 years being out on the streets as a patrol officer, he now wants to do something bigger and grander with his life than just being a street cop, and he's realized that he's going to need a degree to do it. After a few years of contemplating this, he feels that he's mentally ready to finally go back to school to finish where he left off. He's not going back full time. Right now he's starting off slow and taking 2 classes this semester just to get him up on his feet and running. He's going to see how he does this semester with 2, and if it's successful, he'll bump it up to 3 classes. As of right now, he's probably going to stay taking 2-3 classes per semester until he finishes, because it will be hard to do the school thing while doing the work and K9 thing at the same time. But! Who knows! He might take more. Tyson is such a strong, ambitious person, and I know he can do anything he puts his mind to.
I'm so proud of my husband, and I know each and every one of his family members is proud of all the accomplishments he's making and will CONTINUE to make. I'm lucky to have married an ambitious man with such a good head on his shoulders. He works very hard, and he's wise with all of his choices in life. I fully support his choice to go back to school, and I will stand by his side while he goes through the process just like he did for me.
Right now, I feel that we're both feeling very accomplished. If we're starting out our lives together just like this, then I say we're on the right track and I foresee many many MANY good things happening in our future. I'm optimistic.
